Decorating your bedroom: Top 10 tips
Whether you are single or live with your significant other, whether you are a student, a professional or anyone in between, whether you live in a studio apartment or a Victorian mansion, your bedroom is the one place you could describe as your haven, your hideout, or your sanctuary. It is probably the one place you look forward to returning to at the end of a long day, so you can relax and forget all the stress you have been through in the course of the day and do just what you feel like.
Since your bedroom is where you do things you love most, and where you catch up with yourself, it is a good idea to do it up so it is best suited for your kind of activity. At the same time, it should be high on the feel good factor. Most importantly, it should be comfortable, so you don’t wake up each morning with a slight but nagging ache in your back. You can put in spare bed sheets and blankets and pillows in this space during the day. Get drawers inside your closet where you can store innerwear, socks, shoes, jewelry and make up. Your TV cabinet should have a rack for your CDs and DVDs. You can put your books in the same unit. To keep your room clean and clutter free, dust everyday.
